This is a semi-automatic machine which gang feeds the contacts from a bandolier into the insertion head, strips the predetermined number of contacts, meets up with the insulator and seats them in the insulator such as unshrouded, three and four sided headers, "L" shape headers, D- and DIN connectors, etc. after which the insulator moves down for the next row loading if both or more rows of contacts are the same. The contact pins are loaded from bandolier on reels. The bodies are manually loaded into a nest. The machine is easily adjustable for various length connectors. The machine shown is capable of loading up to 50 contacts on .100 center per row. The number of pins can be changed by dialing in a different number on the selector switch.
